Highly Recommended

Went to Darlington Yarm Rd branch for advice. All the people at the depot couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly in guiding us on a new kitchen for our daughter, even though they knew our builder would be ordering from a different branch! The quality and range of the kitchens and appliances has taken a big step up since our last visit about ten years ago too. Will definitely be going back when we want a new kitchen for our house.

My first transaction with Yarm road. Small transaction, it got complicated and I was overcharged, I was not overcharged by much so I didn’t mention it as I didn’t want to make it more complicated. Staff very friendly though.

Self build kitchen

The kitchen I ordered and installed my self, is great; however, two of my units were damaged on delivery, so had to be exchanged. This exchange was done fast and without argument. Additionally the new range I ordered also had to be exchanged due to a faulty burner. The exchanges, set my completion date back a couple of weeks. Overall the staff at Howdens was really good, and I would use Howdens again in the future.

They turned up to measure over half an hour late and now 3 weeks have past and although I have phoned twice now to chase up we have still not had a quotation. I dread to imagine how the after sales service is if this is the sales process. Dreadful.
