Lamona oven unreliabilty

A local fitter recommended a Lamona hob and oven to replace the ones we had for 16 years. The first oven had a warped door and was replaced. The second one created so much condensation the oven had to be mopped out after EVERY use. We upgraded the oven to a Bosch and incurred additional cost. We accepted that the oven was more expensive but are unhappy at having to pay an additional installation fee to replace defective appliances. Wrote to the CEO at Howdens and did not even get an acknowledgement. Manager at Milton Keynes depot was helpful but referred us back to the installer who said he was unable to consider cancelling the second installation fee. I think Howdens should consider this as it is their faulty oven which has caused so much hassle and expense.Got a holding reply email on Friday and Howdens were supposed to be getting back to me - heard nothing so continuing poor service. They obviously don’t care about dealing with genuine complaints, as they have not come back to me as promised.

Great service from start to finish and more!

We bought a new kitchen from Howden's Bletchley depot in 2024, great design and sit down to decide on exactly what we wanted from Tom. A year on we had an issue where one of the oven unit dividers was damaged somehow and blew out at the bottom, bit of a mystery but upon contacting Howden's there was an immediate response from Jamie Leech with an offer to replace all damaged parts free of charge! Jamie also arranged for an engineer to visit promptly as well to investigate the problem as it may have been the oven. Our fitter ensured all was brand new again. I am more than delighted with the service from Howdens from start to finish and will highly recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service all the way

From placing an order to the final delivery was a faultless exercise. Great contact from driver before delivery was very useful. Staff at the Milton Keynes depot were very helpful.

Another great experience in Howdens Bletchley, I have purchased a kitchen and some doors and skirting boards recently the service as always was excellent, excellent customer service, massive thanks to the guys in the warehouse Paul and Colin helped me lift all items into the van, Lauren Gemma Rebecca louann and mat are amazing, jammie as always brilliant, and Adam and Lewis are always there to help, just an amazing team, can’t thank the guys enough, Mel is by far the best kitchen designer you could ask for, highly recommend this branch of Howdens, absolutely 5 star
