Customer service is excellent.

Jack made our experience great, at the Whisby road branch. He has bent over backwards to design, and talk us through every aspect of our kitchen order. He's always been on the other end of the phone for us, and any minor hiccups he has ironed out promptly. He never made us feel a nuisance, anything I wanted or changed he gracefully tackled it with good humour. The after sales service from him and them all has completely blown me away. I honestly can't thank you enough.

Kitchen and Bedroom purchase

Shop elsewhere - higher prices does not mean better quality

Worst decision I ever made to buy a Howdens kitchen. After learning that the branch refused to let my fitter see the kitchen plans, despite my having paid a deposit, on the day of fitting it was discovered that 2 cupboard were damaged - we then went through 7 in total to find a replacement, and told if number 7 was no good they couldn't offer us any more. Then our fitter found both worktops were also damaged - one dented on the front, and one bowed. On top of this they didn't provide enough door knobs or hinges, and of the hinges they did supply two packs were wrong and they failed to measure the kitchen correctly so didn't supply us with enough packs of flooring. In addition the designer failed to update the plans to take into account modifications we had requested - fortunately we spotted one cupboard door that would have opened in the wrong direction and corrected it in time, but we didn't notice until it was too late that 2 cupboard units are the wrong way around, meaning when you are cooking and open the door it swings open into right where you are standing! Although who the designer was I cannot say, as the name on the plans is NOT the person who we saw and said was designing it for us. Customer service is terrible also, with the branch manager failing to turn up to inspect the faults as promised, instead sending his under-manager, yet when I had cause to phone the branch he happily interrupted both myself and the under-manager to rudely speak down to me in an argumentative tone, and only introduced himself when I asked who it was who was speaking to me. Oh, and mustn't forget that the promise to price match and won't be beaten is a lie, as the manager of the branch I purchased it from kept insisting that as their units were so much better quality than the ones offered by Wren this meant they couldn't and wouldn't match their prices. More fool me I guess for not bailing out then and there and buying elsewhere. And one final thing to be aware of - Howdens (or at least this branch) will not and adamantly refuse to tell you the price of anything you purchase from them, making it very difficult to see how honest they are about price matching.

Howdens Lincoln, Whisby Road. Brilliant

We have used all three branches of Howdens in Lincoln over the years. But, it was only by dialling the wrong number and getting the Whisby Road branch did we end up being their customer! I am glad we did! They are certainly the most friendly branch and, they could not do enough to help. They also have the best kitchen displays. Nothing was too much trouble. Manager Stewart Bentley has some lovely staff there. Jordan designed us a beautiful kitchen. We kept changing our minds about things and he was always happy to help. I can't recommend them enough.
