Spent a lot of money on doors and ironmongery, found lead time on doors shocking to run a installation around working window available, 2 door G16 found to have Brad's punched the face of FD30 ply flush finish from hard wood beading ,do have photo evidence and will be taking this further

Poor quality and terrible customer service

We had a kitchen supplied by Howdens back in 2021 and we used a very good fitter that we’d used many times before. All seemed fine until 3 months down the line, so here is the list of faulty products: 1. Ceramic hob developed marks on all the rings but on the underside of the glass. This was replaced by Howdens and recognised as faulty. 2. End panel started to blow out and all the laminate lifted. Howdens admitted faulty product and replaced it 3. Kitchen worktops started to blow at the joins. Howdens investigated and admitted they were faulty and so supplied replacement but wouldn’t cover the cost of my fitter replacing the tops. Luckily my fitter understands good customer service so he replaced it FOC. 4. Another end panel blown out but this time Howdens said it had been fitted upside down and so the product wasn’t at fault. So my fitter removed the panel to check, and as we thought it had been fitted correctly. Contacted Howdens but they didn’t care and told me to contact head office. Which I did and they promised a call back within 48 hours. That was 2 years ago and I’m still waiting for the call. 5. Replacement worktop has now blown again March 2025, so I contacted Howdens who said it was a faulty join and not the worktop. When challenged to ask why the change of opinion as previously they admitted product was faulty.? They just said, take it up with head office. I did request for someone to come out to look at the issue, bearing in mind we leave 5 minutes from the branch. They refused to send someone, so here we are again, waiting for head office to call us back. Avoid Howdens kitchens at all cost…. Shocking quality and despite the warranty on tops and units etc, the Kidderminster branch do not care and will not support you. I’m fairly sure they also know that head office will also ignore any complaints.

A challenging design.

Howdens Kidderminster go the extra mile to support their customers. Ellie was challenged by the kitchen design due to its galley style space that wasn’t easy to configure to include all the units and appliances we wanted to incorporate into the layout. Despite the many changes to our requirements, Ellie came up trumps and left us delighted with the end result, as an added bonus, below our allocated budget. Thankyou Ellie.
