Good units and sales service but COUNTER TOPS let them DOWN

Sales design was excellent with Tabitha and we were very pleased with our kitchen units. Where Howdens let us down was with the slate counter tops. Again they look great from a distance but on closer inspection you can easily see excess glue oozing out between side & top panels. Photos available. We went back to discuss it with Howdens but all they suggested was rub it gently with sandpaper. If this didn't work then they would sell us a liquid which may help... In the end, our excellent builder, Zoc Construction, used their fingernails to scrap it away. After spending £9,946.28, we would have expected better after sales service.

Howdens are unfortunately going the…

Howdens are unfortunately going the same way as a number of leaders in their field , Profit increasing and service decreasing . Lack of stock, stock record accuracies , staff training of the system !! and transfer between branches does not work in favour of staff bonus scheme , never did . As an ex employee I have not been impressed by the level of service , staff interest in the job or lack of interest . We have had dealings with a number of branches both with my account and as a project manager for others .
