I don’t enjoy home improvements or furniture shopping. It’s my least favourite activity. However, my kitchen needed replacing and I visited Howdens, where I met Rawnie Wiggins I have had an excellent experience. Rawnie has been patient, listened to me, really took time to understand my budget without pressure to disclose. Coming to the house at a time that suited me and offering advice that was continuously improving. Taking all her learnings of me, my requirements, preferences and matching with her design expertise the perfect kitchen was produced for me at an affordable cost. I have had a really professional and brilliant experience with Howdens. A great local company where you feel customer is at the heart. Thank you

Faulty Lamona washing machine.

After weeks of unnecessary frustration our faulty Lamona washing machine has now been replaced. This could have been handled so much better, but at least it is now resolved. This has gone a good way to restoring our confidence in Howdens. Thank you.

Faulty Lamona washer, still not sorted.

Our free standing Lamona washing machine still has an intermittent fault and won’t spin some washes. It won’t pick up speed. Washing has to be rung out by hand. We follow the handbooks instructions. Started after five months trouble free use. 8 engineer visits, 8 days spent waiting around, various parts replaced. An engineer has seen this fault. They think its the motor control board, but they can’t get one. Been out twice with the wrong part. Very frustrating. I can’t see how this is acceptable to Howdens and why this faulty machine (as seen by their engineer) is not being replaced. This must be a cheaper option than all the engineer visits and spare parts. We made a complaint to customer services, which just resulted in another engineer visit. Very frustrating and very disappointing. We expected so much more.

Won’t swap a defective washer.

New kitchen in September. Had great service in both the planning and delivery. After 5 months of no problem use, our Lamona free standing washer refused to spin most washes and stuck on an idle spin. Had four engineers to this now, had control parts replaced but still the same intermittent spin issue. Howdens state as the engineer can find a fault, it’s not their problem and they refuse to fix or replace our machine. The branch referred us to customer service who were unable to assist other than by registering a complaint, not much of a service. We paid a lot for our kitchen and just want a washing machine that works. Howdens response, as a company, has been appalling, because the engineer can’t find a fault !! Why would we make this up. Our struggle to resolve this ‘simple issue’ goes on. Howdens proudly display a royal warrant on their website and claim to be about quality. Failed miserably on this one. Very disappointing.

Amazing service from start to finish

Nick Cale from howdens castleford did an outstanding service from planning our kitchen to making sure everything ran smoothly till kitchen and worktops installed. We are so happy with it. It looks amazing. The quality of the kitchen is 10/10. Will be definitely recommending Howdens to family & Friends.

Kitchen, doors and floor bought

We bought our kitchen from Howden’s late last year. Nick designed it brilliantly which exceeded our expectations and provided a solution for storage until we were able to get this delivered. Howden’s were always on hand to help with any issues we encountered which were minimal. We love our new floor and even had this extended throughout our whole downstairs which Howden’s accommodated and delivered.

When we wanted to add a coffee station…

When we wanted to add a coffee station to our existing kitchen that Nick Cale from Howdens in Castleford had previously helped us design we knew who to call & yet again we’re very happy Howden customers. Nicks a very polite & professional young man & is a credit to Howdens. Thanks Nick 👌🏼
