Great products both design and durability wise. Would have been 5 star if the designing was done correctly and efficiently in the first place and correct products were sent. Store team was helpful to iron out the issues though

Great kitchen quality terrible flooring quality just AVOID

Firstly the design experience was very good with Maggie and the quality of the kitchen Cuboards etc are a very good quality but you would expect that for the cost of what we paid But a company shows its true colours when things don’t reach the same qualities of what they provide at times My main issue is the flooring we had in our very expensive new kitchen . It was the exact same as our hallway and have not had an issue with that at all for over 2 years. The flooring in kitchen was laid on a perfectly flat surface and was not fitted under the kitchen Cuboard as per the instructions that I have again been through myself Now whatever batch we had obviously got with the kitchen has an issue with the locking mechanism as the floor keeps moving and un clipping at various places. Now if the product is locked together then if anything the whole surface would move. Howdens are claiming that it hasn’t been fitted on a level floor (which it has )or the correct expansion gap at the edge is wrong this is without even looking at it in person. They will only offer what they call a “independent survey “ who they choose the person and will cost £300 to visit to go forward with anything.so understandably the builder could be a further £300 down with the not so independent person no doubt blaming over factors. “I have never seen this happen before” I can just hear it as I used to work for a big company and had various communications with tech teams who swore blind this is the first time etc etc Well that’s funny as I personally know one of your fitters who say it’s a known issue We was also looking to have a lounge floor replaced and had a local flooring specialist came to price as wanted to avoid Howdens We mentioned Howdens flooring without even mentioning our kitchen floor issue Howdens do great kitchen but the flooring is very poor and is avoided by most people in the know We got on to the kitchen floor and he said I will tell you what Howdens will say and they will never take any responsibility I have removed so many relatively new Howdens floors for customers for the exact same reason If he had a hammer he would hit the nail on the head with the excuses that he said they would come out with Would I ever buy from Howdens again no chance if this is how they treat customers We spent a small fortune in Howdens but the way they have just dismissed the issue is just wrong Avoid at all costs as they are great when they are up selling all the gear but don’t take any responsibility when it’s so clearly a manufacturing issue UPDATE after looking further into this I have found a group on Facebook with numerous people having the same issues with the flooring All are told the same thing installation issue NO HOWDENS PRODUCT ISSUE

You stock so many of the items we need on a day to day basis which makes it easy for us to supply a quick turn around on our works. All the staff are really helpful and always will to help find the correct product for us. When it comes to our kitchen refurbs, Maggie Gates is a star! She becomes part of my team and I couldn't do them without her.

Good first order experience for me. Edward, your customer contact, was very helpful and positive and helped us order the correct items. Delivery was very good, my order came when predicted and the driver was very helpful with the unloading. All the items supplied were correct and damage free. A good job all round by your people. Eddie’s the man!

After visiting Howdens at Ashford south branch and having a really bad experience with the useless staff, I then went to Howdens in Cobbs Wood Ashford and Eddie greated me on arrival, he was so helpful and went above and beyond to get all the items I needed, I’ve since been back again and Eddie was so polite and helpful yet again, thank you so much!
